This course is an introduction to riding on the road, ideal for those going onto the road for the first time and simultaneously preparing you for the pre-provisional road ride assessment.

It is a natural progression from our pre learner revision and advanced course. If you feel comfortable handling a bike at medium and slow speeds, are comfortable changing gears, accelerating and braking, then it is time to venture out onto the road in real traffic.

Being on the road for the first time is strange, especially if all you have driven is cars. However, by the end of this course, you will be comfortable being on the road on a motorbike.

Course Overview

You will gain confidence riding on the road. We will cover buffering, hazard perception and avoidance, acceleration, slowing down, gear changing and 'high-er' speed cornering A strong emphasis is placed on developing skills around staying safe focussing on hazard perception, positioning and buffering and 'high-er' speed cornering, just in case you missed it
